Registration Fee: Authors who wish to participate must register and pay a nominal fee for table space.
Refunds: Exhibitor fees are non-refundable. However, if a vendor or author must cancel, every attempt will be made to fill the space and refund the registration fee for cancellations prior to 5 pm on Friday, May 29. No guarantee is made to that effect. After that date, cancellations will not be refunded.
Exhibit Space: Each registered participant is allotted exhibit space for one tent no larger than 10′ x 10′. Tent weights are required. A six-foot table is recommended. Exhibitors must provide tables, chairs. Exhibitors may not display items in front of tables where they may be a tripping hazard. Exhibitors may not hang or attach any signage to any buildings or structures on the site..
Pets: Pets are permitted but must be under a handler’s control at all times. Excessive barking or damage done to the exhibits must be prevented.
Exhibitor Check-In: All participants must be checked in by 10:30 am and set up by 11:00 am. The festival is advertised to be open from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Participants should not take down their exhibit before 4:00 p.m.
Restrictions: Though books intended for mature audiences are welcome, all book covers, displays, and handouts you bring should be suitable for a general audience of varying ages.
Liability: Each exhibitor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the event organizers, the town of Skippack, and proximal retailers from personal injury, damage to goods, and circumstances beyond the festival’s control.
Sales and Taxes: All exhibitors are responsible for their own book sales, credit card processing, and tax reporting. Only the exhibit space is provided. Organizers have no financial involvement in sales transactions.
Video and Photography: Video footage and photography may be taken during the entire duration of the book fest. The organizers reserve the right to use that photography and videography in promotional materials.
Terms and Conditions – Skippack 2026
Vendor acknowledges that it has read and understand the guidelines of the MontCo Book Fest at Skippack and agrees to comply. Vendor further agrees to observe and comply with all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations.
The relationship of Vendor to the organizer is that of independent contractor, and nothing shall be construed or deemed as creating any relationship of employment, joint venture, partnership or agency between the organizers, the town of Skippack, and Contractor. Vendor is not the agent, employee, or representative of the organizer for any purpose
Vendor agrees not to assign or sublet any Stand Space allocated to him without prior consent from the organizers.
Vendor agrees to waive all claims for damages and agrees to forego any remedy or recourse.
Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the organizer, its volunteers, affiliates, officers, participants and employees (“Indemnified Persons”), from and against any and all claims, suits, causes of actions, penalties or judgments which may be imposed on or incurred by or instituted against any such Indemnified Persons to the extent resulting from (i) the negligent, dishonest, fraudulent or wrongful acts or omissions, either negligent or intentional, of Vendor, in connection with the performance of its obligations under this Information Exhibitor Form and its Terms and Conditions; (ii) breach of any of Contractor’s undertakings or agreements set forth in this Information Exhibitor Form and its Terms and Conditions; (iii) any other act of negligence or willful misconduct committed by Vendor; or (iv) breach of any representation of Vendor.
Vendor agrees its exhibit space will be maintained in a clean and orderly state during the book fest. The Vendor shall not: bring or distribute alcoholic drinks into the book fest space; operate games of chance or lottery devices; exhibit anything not approved by event organizers; and use “live” microphones or loudspeaker equipment without approval from organizers.
The Norristown Norriton Authors Alliance and/or event organizers may terminate this Agreement for good cause as determined in its sole discretion.
No amendment to this Agreement will be effective unless it is in writing and signed by both parties.
This Agreement shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Code of Conduct
The MontCo Book Fest and the Norristown Norriton Authors Alliance are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for participants. While at the 2026 book fest or related ancillary or social events, any participants, including speakers, attendees, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, media representatives, exhibitors, interns, staff and anyone else, should not engage in harassment in any form.
Event organizers are committed to providing a friendly, safe, supportive and harassment-free environment for all attendees and participants, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion or other group identity.
This Code of Conduct may be revised at any time by event organizers. Your registration, attendance or participation indicates your agreement to abide by this Code of Conduct and its terms.
1. EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
All event registrants, attendees and participants, whether they are attending the 2026 book fest at Skippack and/or its ancillary events (in-person or a virtually) are expected to behave in accordance with professional standards. Organizers expect attendees and participants to communicate professionally and constructively, handling dissent or disagreement with respect, courtesy, dignity and an open mind.
2. UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR
Harassment will not be tolerated in any form, including, but not limited to, harassment based on gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion or any other status protected by laws of Pennsylvania. Harassment includes the use of abusive, offensive or degrading language, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, sexual imagery and unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors. Anyone asked to stop any harassing behavior is expected to comply immediately.
In the event of harassing behavior, organizers may take any action they deem appropriate depending on the circumstances, including issuing a warning to expulsion from the book fest.
